We pride ourselves on delivering high quality early childhood education, with an approach that provides parents with the peace of mind that their child is being cared for by qualified Educators. McKellar Cottage consist of four rooms accommodating our nursery/toddler/pre-school children aged 0-6 years. We are dedicated to providing a stimulating hands on learning environment, which is guided by the children’s current interests and development.

We take pride in creating a sense of belonging and community for children and their families. Our centre consists of four boutique rooms with small class sizes, to ensure your child is cared for in a personal homelike setting. As well as large outdoor play spaces focusing on the natural environment, to provide enriched learning opportunities for children to be active, creative, inquisitive and independent.

Our educational programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework, which focuses on Belonging, Being and Becoming. Our program is developed through children’s interests, strengths, family input, community links and intentional teaching. Each interest-based learning experience is planned to developmentally support and challenge the children within an environment that fosters each child’s self-worth.

We value the learning of fundamentals such as language, literacy, numeracy, art, music, self-help skills, problem solving and investigation. We are dedicated to providing your child with the latest education techniques and the very best educational start.
